Amy is originally from Birmingham, AL. She discovered her passion and interest in occupational therapy after shadowing a therapist at Children’s Hospital in high school. She attended Auburn University for 3 years before transferring to the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she received her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Amy has spent her whole career in pediatrics. She started in the K-12 school system in Alabama and transitioned to an outpatient pediatric clinic over 10 years ago after moving to Georgia. She loves seeing children learn, grow and develop through play skills. Some of her favorite parts of the job include connecting with the families and supporting them along their journey as well as collaborating with other disciplines to see each child reach their full potential.
Amy and her husband live in Sharpsburg, GA and have three children. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, hike, and cheer on her favorite team. War Eagle!
