Asma graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin University. Asma has experience working with the adult and pediatric population in a variety of settings including acute care and outpatient pediatrics. Her prior experiences working in applied behavior analysis and Easter Seals Child Development Center have made her extremely passionate about working with the pediatric population. Asma is enthusiastic about expanding OT knowledge and has conducted research on OT’s role in suicide prevention across practice contexts and is currently working to publish her work on parents’ perceptions of play as a primary occupation. Outside of her work, Asma enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts, binge-watching Netflix, and joining (and dominating) family game nights. She is always ready to explore new places and indulge in different and delicious cuisines!
